Ferndale Bikeway

The City of Ferndale Bikeway Network Committee has completed its proposed layout of the bikeway network. Since the city has no other streets large enough to accommodate bike lanes, a route has been laid out on city streets that the Committee feels are the best to travel throughout the city. Current bike lanes are indicated in yellow and the proposed lanes are in green.

The route is signed with directions and facility location markers and the Bikeway Network Committee opened this route in May of 2006 with a dedication ceremony and special event.

Copies of the Bikeway Network are made available to you in Adobe Acrobat format. Click here to download a copy of the Ferndale Bikeway network. Copies are also available at the Kulick Community Center, 1201 Livernois in Ferndale. Residents are invited to pickup or download the map and then head out on the road for a ride on the new lanes. The Committee would appreciate it if residents who have ridden the route would then forward their comments regarding its layout to Recreation Director, Julie Hall, at jhall@ferndale-mi.com.
